Description:
1967 Pontiac GTO Restomod – Supercharged LSA V8 Power with Classic Appeal
This 1967 Pontiac GTO masterfully blends vintage aesthetics with modern performance, offering the best of both worlds. While its exterior presents a factory-correct appearance—complete with Rally II wheels and reproduction F70-14 Firestone redline bias-ply tires—the real magic lies beneath the hood. A formidable 580-horsepower Chevrolet LSA supercharged 6.2L V8 takes center stage, paired with a Tremec six-speed manual transmission for an exhilarating driving experience.
Modern Power, Classic Style
The Gen-IV LSA engine features an Eaton TVS 1.9L supercharger, sequential fuel injection, aluminum heads and block, a hydraulic roller camshaft, and a 9.1:1 compression ratio. Controlled by an ECM kit and supported by a high-flow fuel system, this powerhouse delivers relentless performance. Additional upgrades include an aluminum radiator, dual electric fans, and an aftermarket accessory drive with provisions for A/C (though not installed).
Refined Exterior & Interior
Originally Gulf Turquoise, the GTO now wears a smooth red finish with minimal imperfections. The body is rust-free, the glass is in excellent condition, and all seals were recently replaced to ensure a watertight cabin. Inside, the turquoise interior has been swapped for black, featuring fresh seatbelts, flawless carpet and headliner, and a functional dome light and heater. The Rally gauges were updated to electronic units that retain their original look but include modern features like a self-testing tachometer and OBD-II compatibility.
Enhanced Driving Dynamics
The suspension has been upgraded with new front coil springs, polyurethane bushings, a modern steering box, and rear airbags, while a rear anti-roll bar improves handling. Stopping power comes from aftermarket front disc brakes, with factory-style drums in the rear.
Unfinished Custom Touches
A 1969 GTO console is installed, and the owner had planned additional upgrades—including a custom radio, GPS, and gear indicator—though these remain incomplete. The original console is also included.
This 1967 Pontiac GTO Restomod is a sleeper in every sense, combining classic styling with modern supercharged muscle. Whether you’re a purist who appreciates subtlety or a performance enthusiast craving power, this GTO delivers both.
